day 2

What a day! It started off around 8am when we woke up and had to find out how to eat in public while simultaneously sleeping.  Eventually we left and went to the crazy town of Oatman Az. It was there that we learned about and saw the vicious, roaming, killer donkeys.

they forced me to pose
It was also there that we bought a boatload of leather goods and ice cream.

Then we went to the first preserved and best preserved crater on earth, called Barringer Crater or something.

It was big, trust me.

Me and Cory got close

I am powerful

"I'm flying Evan, I'm flying."
Now I'm done cause I'm watching TV. Short Post I know

day 1

Well, here we are again friendos. on the road. I hate to report but today included very few to no life endangering encounters.
We did however stop at a very abandoned house.
looks legit

I guess I'm lying, there were a lot of pidgins living in it that were very upset at our arrival.  One waited so long to leave that when I was exploring the house it almost flew into my face.
"FORTHSOOTH!" I exclaimed "HENCEFORTH A PIDGIN FLIES TOWARDS THE LAND OF THE SCORCHED EARTH." I yelped as the bird flew by.
"Why are you talking like that?" asked Justin.
As we explored the house I discovered a inscription on the wall that was a little unsettling. It warned us of hearing the children scream.
I think I just pooped a little

This, along with the the fact that we were all alone in the desert. led my retreat from the the house to the car where I could listen to happy music and forget that there could be a murderer watching me in that house.
After we left, we drove to Roy's: a cafe that serves no food. Without asking, a worker told us they would not open the cafe until they passed the food inspection test.

who would have known
Needless to say we decided to stay a while and enjoying our old packaged snacks from them. We watched Spongebob with a child who was for some reason in the shop.  I guess he was the workers son.
Anyway we eventually we left due to Cory using the cola bottle he bought as flute.
Then I started driving as opposed to Justin who was determined to drive the speed whatever the temperature in the desert was.
Well now we are sitting in our hotel room watching adult swim and enjoying the company of each other through making fun of anime.

I got to go I must continue to mock this show called bleach.
Have fun talk to you guys tomorrow.

The last video I posted isn't the one I talked about on the blog but rather just another good one from the same series, it's called Wizard People, Dear Reader, and it is all amazing.

Also I found a couple of videos that are also about Star Wars, rather this is a review of the phantom menace. Don't be turned off by its length, because it will be over before you want it to.

This is 5 second films. Normally I am a wordsmith, however there is little I can type that can explain the pure internet awesomeness of this youtube channel. If you like this you should go to their actual website which is linked on their profile.

This right here is a great compilation of really funny movie quotes.  Although some of  them shaped my childhood (that would explain a lot) I still laugh at them all the same.

The song of the day is Barry White's "Never Never Ganna Give You Up." so get a glass of wine grab your lover, and enjoy some lovemaking next to the fireplace.

"Evan, your stories are too rambling."

So We had our second show. It was a blast, I think we might have had a record of three listeners (including me and Shea of course).  Anyway we talked about some cool stuff. I got a lot off my chest by telling rambling stories about my friends and such. We shared some wrestling stories that Shea and I had.  I don't know about him but I know that the guy I wrested looked a little like this:

We then talked about a lot of comeback stories other people had. I talked about my friend named Justin in a weird story that didn't make much sense.  Lucky for me Shea was there to make me feel like I was still coherent (he understands everyone).
My friend circa 2011

I'm still trying to figure out how to let Shea and Sara post on the blog without signing into my account, so hopefully soon we will be getting some variety in the posts that you guys experience.

Anyway Evan Signing off...

The Resurgence of Self Agrandizing

Well, I started writing again.  It's not because I think that I am a good writer (well maybe a little (or a lot)).  But rather because I feel like I have a story to tell.  Heck I feel once again that everyone has a good story in them that they can tell.

Believe it or not I lost that feeling when I was at Riggs. Even though everyone around me had a very strange challenging life.  I lost that feeling because I felt as if good stories were not cherished, and coming from that that they were not important, and soon following that that no one had a good story.

I know it's a weird train of logic, but feelings rarely follow normal trains of logic (at least according to my very non-professional opinion).  Besides weirder things have happened at Riggs.

Anyway the song of the day is asa Branca By forro in the dark

WE MADE IT BABY! YEAAAAHHHHH, BABY YEAHHH!

Well the elements were against us, the GPS was against us, the airport was against us, even the lady nice lady at the Avis rent a car was unknowingly against us. However despite all of these troubles, we have arrived in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

We woke up expecting the skies to be clear, after all, that's what the weatherman had promised us.  Yet once we got to the window we noticed that snow was falling from the sky, and so we deduced that it was still snowing.

"I do say, this will put a damper on our plans for aeronautical travel." Claimed my father.

"Quite!" exclaimed Deb.
My Dad

After leaving late we got on the road and began to drive towards are destination.  The journey was rough and perhaps made for one with thicker skin than myself.  I tried to stay awake and comfort the weaker members of the journey, however I eventually fell asleep.

I awoke to my companions in a titter.

"Deborah, this is indeed a foreign, upside-down, topsy turvry land! Perhaps our Geographonational Positioning System has led us astray?" propositioned my father.

"I have handled this system myself good sir, and would be quick to startle if I have input this information incorrectly." Retorted Deb.

As it turns out We did put in the wrong airport coordinates, and were headed in the completely wrong direction.

"Egad!" produced my father.

Well we finally got the the airport, boarded the plane, and flew to our halfway destination: Atlanta.  Yet, we were stalled.  Forced to traffic on the airport runway for a good 20 min as they found a station for us.

"The shock would be visible on my face, if I saw our travel luggage arrive at our later destination. The zeppelin service would be much more reliable." Railed my father.

Well we did get to Colorado, despite the close call with our flight transfer, and against all of my dad's expectations our luggage arrived too.

We had one last trial to overcome.  While renting our car, we asked the renting lady which way it was to get to downtown Colorado Springs. She gave us directions that led us in the opposite direction.

However, We finally arrived at our hotel, and now I am tired and want to sleep so tomorrow will come.

Song of the day is Big rock candy mountain.

Twenty First Century Blues!

Hey blig blag world! I just wanted to check up with you and let you guys know that when I get back to college I am going to host a radio show, and even link it up with this blog. Not only will you be able to read about my boring life, you can listen to me bleat about it as well.

I'm starting to realize that I will defiantly miss Massachusetts (first time spelling it right on the first try by the way). Not just the place, but also the people. I realized this when I was rock climbing at Bard College at Simon's Rock.  I was rock climbing with the guy named Guy, and listening to the song 20th Century Blues, on the Bioshock soundtrack.

It wasn't the song that made me realize that this place would be missed, rather it was the fact that Guy reflected the type of person here very well: relaxed with reserved intensity.  Now that statement is about as specific as a horoscope, however let me explain by assuming a lot about someone due to a short encounter I had with them.

Guy is a laid back dude.  He is the kind of man who would rarely raise his voice, not only that he doesn't like it when other people raise their voices either.  He probably doesn't like to get angry, and doesn't like it when other people get angry.  Basically he will avoid making a big deal out of everything, even if he has to make a big deal out of that.

Look at me ranting about nothing again... I should stop... I can't wait to get out of here.

If you were wondering the radio station is called the SOCC (Sound Of Colorado College) just google it if  you are interested in finding it now, or wait for me to link directly to it in a later post.

Song of the day is 20th century blues.

Moral: if Evan has nothing to write about, be prepared, he will find something... anything

I'm Like Jesus but I Actually Came a Third time.

Boom, just when you thought you finally got rid of me, I come out of the woodwork and ruin your day by posting.

So I totally have a date when I am going back to Colorado: the 19th.  I started to try and get in touch with people from there again communication was choppy at best due to my dad's steam powered internet router.  Anyway I am beyond excited and can't keep still for more than five minutes at a time.  This must be what the manic people at Riggs felt like.  Except I can still manage to play video games for a good long while.

I'm so excited I need 1000 words to explain how I feel, but simply listing words doesn't make for good blogging. So here is a picture which i hear are worth about that many words.

MORAL: AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Hello!

Hi, Welcome, nuqneH, Hola, Aloha, KaleeMEra, Suilaid, Willkommen, and Greetings. My name is Evan Ryan. I live in Stockbridge, Massachusetts and obviously I have a bliggatty bloog.

I won't say much in this introduction because finding out secrets about me is part of the fun of reading my blog (hopefully). However I will say that My blog is an adventure into the boring life of one man: Me.

While on this escapade into the frightening, twisted world that is my mind, we will also explore music, videos, comedy, and other forms of entertainment art.

Finally Before you dive into the abyss that is Evan's Blogger page, let me tell you one thing: Take a deep breath, it's all in your head.
